Had no problems with Amazon or manufacturer customer service. It has to be used at an angle so it doesn't clip the grass very well. Doesn't work very well in the handle either. The plugs are at such an angle they don't slide into the socket. The little clippers, while not great, are pretty good, but I went through 3 handles (2 from Amazon and 1 from manufacturer) before I got one I finally knocked on (not slid on). I had an old unit by the manufacturer this company replaced for many years, and it died.
This is something I use infrequently, but need occasionally. . I'm afraid to try to take the handle off because it may come off or go back on, but it has to be off to charge (old one charged in the handle).
It fits the American Gardener grass cutter easily and securely, and works perfectly with my bad back.
The wheels can be handy but with one hand on the handle grip and the other a little way down on the handle it is easy to manipulate the trimmer anywhere I need to use it. This handle is a great time & back saver. I've had the Clip'n'Shear for over 2 years now and the handle only a few months, I wish I would have gotten it sooner. It is so much nicer to use the trimmer while standing than while on my knees. The handle is very light which makes it easy to use, I generally run out of battery power long before my arms get tired.
Most of the reviews are right. I made it work by carefully inserting the clipper into the base, then securing the clipper handel to the extension with a tie wrap. Basically this thing is junk.
I am not impressed with the materials. I hope it proves me wrong. However I have not had the right weather to use this outdoors.
