BASIC BOX MAKING with Doug Stowe DVD Reviews

Unlike a lot of tool videos, it's fairly long, so you get your money's worth. On top of that, his voice is so relaxing you could watch this DVD purely for therapy. I enjoyed this video tremendously. And he has a website featuring wonderful furniture. Beautiful boxes. Doug Stowe uses a variety of tools and techniques, and he explains very patiently.

This is what I needed and am working now on the jigs that will help take me to the next level of boxmaking. However, there is a ton of information here and it is broken up in such a way that accessing it piece by piece is a breeze.

It did exactly that. I picked up this DVD thinking that it may clarify some issues for me and open up some of the higher level designs.

I have had the book of this set for several months and have tried a couple boxes with mixed success. I saw several boxes that looked "doable" but were just out of my reach skillwise.

I would recommend this DVD to anyone who owns the book and wants to increase their skill level. The DVD is long at well over two hours.

Stowe opens talking about several jigs that you would be good to add to your collection before getting into the more advanced designs.
