Black and Decker Firestorm battery charger for all PS series black and Decker Batteries EXCEPT 18V batteries. Charges 8.4, 9.6, 12, 13.2, and 14.4 Firestorm Batteries in 1 hour. Will not charge the slide pack batteries, only the Firestorm batteries w/ a stem. Has 4 diagnostic modes to show charging, charged, problem powerline or replace battery. A lot of the 3 hour chargers will quit working because a bad battery pack causes them to fail. That is what makes these so nice. It has a light that will show if your battery is bad or not.

Again: this is for the Firestorm, Quantum pro batteries with a "stem" on them that pops up into the tool. Usually designated by letters PS on the model #, such as PS140 PS130 PS120 etc.

This one is finished in about an hour. I have the 14.4 V batteries and they are charged in about an hour. No Cons yet at this point. I just recently purchased the B&D 1 hour pod style charger. This is especially nice when doing long projects that require extensive battery use. Good buy for the money I would say. I had been using the cheap one that came with my set which would take hours to recharge my batteries.

i was looking for a replacement for the charger that came with my Black and Decker drill and although this charger isn't the same as the original I like it better. Would highly recommend. The charge occurs much faster and the connection points in the charger are constructed much better than the original charger.

According to the product description, this unit was able to charge a 8.4 volt battery. The battery does not fit. This unit CANNOT charge a 8.4.

Better designed than orginial equipment supplied with set. But I first bought a slide type charger locally by mistake and had to destroy the over ambitious theft proof packaging to open, making unreturnable. This product is fine. It would have been smarter to throw the set away and by a whole new outfit. Than I found my batteries were bad after buying this charger. Orginial equipment notorious for failing.

After going through 3 of the standard chargers that come with my 14.4V cordless drill, I got this one. Charges the battery packs to full capacity in under one hour, and they hold the charge perfectly. This is an outstanding product. Highly recommend this charger for any B&D cordless battery packs. It works exactly as advertised.
