Black & Decker BDTS200 15-Amp Table Saw with Stand and Wheels Reviews
This is not as good as a $200 or $300 unit, but not too far off either. If there are table extensions you can purchase, that would defintly remedy the problem. As it is, it would be somewhat unstable with the larger plywoods. From my experience this would mostly be an issue with large pieces of plywood. The main drawback is that the unit's a bit underweight and it may have one or two somewhat flimsy parts. I recently purchased this table saw and noticed the same issues the other people wrote about.
First of all, it's a good dependable saw with plenty of power and features. At less than $100 on sale, you can't go wrong with this and it's worth the money. The reason for the 3 stars is that I'm a little strict as far as my ratings are concered. Not so much with smaller or lighter pieces of wood.
This table saw has done everything that I've asked of it so far. The construction was suprisingly light but so far hasn't been a problem. Overall I'm happy with it and would recommend it for any light outdoor usage where dust collection won't be needed. I have had one incident with the kick back safety device causing a jam so I am begining to believe that they may become problmatic as a previous reviewer noted.
THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED TO HELP ME IN MY WORK. RUBY THE SAW WORKS GREAT.
Easy to make adjustments. Good for what it is. I will probably purchase the table top extensions for more work surface. I'd be a little worried about cutting a full sheet of 3/4" plywood, but i'm not saying it's impossible. Weighs a fraction of my Delta contractor saw.
Accurate after fine-tuning. For a light-weight, light-duty table saw it is very good. Quick assembly, took about 15 minutes. Excellent light purpose, portable table saw.
Cons: the parts seem a little too light-weight, although i haven't experienced any problems with them yet.
i do have to say that the assembly instructions do fall very short of being useful / adequate. i live by RTFM.
it cuts wood in a straight line or at an angle, what more do you want it is a saw, not an espresso machine. i will have to say that the quality of saw is great.
ok, first off, i was not shocked that the saw required assembly (as some reviewers have been) typically mail order items do require assembly. oddly enough B&D sent extra washers in my kit.go figure.maybe i got the other guys LOL.
some better diagrams, and more detailed instructions would help.and yes i am male and i read the instructions.
it is perfect for the occasional DIYer, i am sure a woodworker would be unhappy with it; but for little jobs like putting in laminate flooring and ripping the end of the wall planks it is fine.
