The folks at Corona Clipper know that pruning is an art. This aluminum-handled bypass lopper features their innovative StrataShear blade technology, designed to reduce friction and require less force for cutting. The carbon-steel blade on this model can handle branches up to 2-1/2 inches in diameter and can be resharpened. The handles are lightweight, so your strength won't be wasted carrying the tool around, and the grips are soft and easy on your hands. Rather than using a spring, these loppers have the Alcryn ShockStop bumper to reduce fatigue. This tool is great for both professional and home use.
The Corona Clipper stratashear 32-inch professional bypass lopper features a 2-1/2-inch cutting capacity and Corona's new stratashear technology. Stratashear is a patented three-stage system used to reduce friction and improve cutting efficiency. The stratashear technology consists of a radial arc coupled with a forged Coronium steel alloy blade for abrasion resistance. Next, a fluropolymer layer is added, giving the blade nonstick, continuous lubrication. The result of the stratashear combination allows for cutting up to 32-percent easier than standard loppers. The bypass blades can be re-sharpened, and the light, sturdy aluminum handles feature Corona's ShockStop bumpers to reduce fatigue. The unit comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Corona Clipper Stratashear 32-Inch Professional Bypass Lopper with 2-1/2-Inch Cutting Capacity #AL8260 Reviews
Works great and a pleasure to use. Not much to say: this is a quality item.
Thanks to the people who posted earlier on this item. This tool is worth every pennythe anvil action, the light weight, the reach, the cutting quality. I bought this in 2004 and it cuts as well as the day it arrived. It really holds an edge and the cutting action is superior to other loppers.
On smaller stuff it cuts great but then the long handles become awkward. They should have said 2.-inch capacity if you can cut it because you can't cut through a 2 or 2.-inch tree branch without attacking it several times from various angles. I decided on the bypass because it has 2.-inch cutting capacity and long 32-inch handles for leverage. But the blade finally became dull and I could not find a replacement so I decided it was time to buy a new one. It easily cut up to 2-inch branches with one slice. I have had an anvil looper for a long time.
The anvil looper has a gear mechanism that increases the leverage. It is a good cutting tool for brush and small branches but next time, when I must buy another one, it will be an anvil. That makes cutting vary difficult. I had a difficult time deciding between an anvil or bypass looper.
But this is an efficient, tough tool.Just spent many days clearing brush and trees. I have broken wooden handles on other loppers, struggled with others, and am completely satisfied with this 32 inch Corona. Expensive, yes. The top of the line is fantastic. Also consider their hand clippers. This tool is the best I have used.
