As for it being reconditioned, I have no doubt that it is as good as new. It looks nearly new, not used. It started on the third pull. It is not the most powerful, and neither is it the lightest weight unit.
I put a shoulder strap on it from a duffle bag. Maybe wearing gloves would help a little. No reservations, a solid recommendation. We had wind and rain in the week I waited for it to arrive, so the leaves were thick and wet. And it would cost more than twice as much. However, at $90 delivered, it is a good compromise for my small yard with lots of oaks.
I did not care much for the blower tube. I was able to attach the end piece from the Echo blower I had fried two weeks earlier, and that worked well. I have not seen anything for the price that seems to be as good a blower as this. I am barely six feet tall, but the tubes seemed short. The unit is adequate for my needs. It came in about a week (from CPO in Georgia).
It blew leaves, as advertised. My hands got a little numb/tingly, but that is to be expected from any two-cycle engine you carry around. If anything, I might want more power, but then I would want a backpack or wheels, because it would probably weigh more. This helped me to use it for two hours straight.
Product is just OK, does not provide velocity I was looking for. Would go with the Craftsmen if I had it to do over. My Craftsmen died after 6 yrs and after reading the reviews, thought I would give it a try.
It required a new, better make of spark plug to get it running. I was happy to see that the product arrived in a like-new condition with a new manual and leaf-bag. If you like pulling on starting cords, this is your product. I bought this because of the price, power, and name-brand. But it would not start. It is hard to start still, but once running the blower is as powerful as advertised. I had to take it to a shop to diagnose the problem.
All the accessories were new and included. At my local retailer it sells new for $140.
It is pretty lightweight and makes cleaning up my acre of land a breeze. This ryobi blower is very easy and quick to start and has plenty of power and is not too loud I have had other gas blowers that are much louder.
I purchased this blower from amazon and could not be more pleased. I had an old homelite blower that was hard to start and was not very powerful.
I would recommend this blower. Overall a great value at $85 on amazon.
It looked almost brand new out of the box with just a few scratches on the bottom.
