This claimed to have a "nearly-unbreakable rake head". I returned without any problems, but did not request a replacement. It broke during shipment.
The handle has an innovative oblong design which fits perfectly into your hand and helps you to maintain rake orientation, particularly in gloved hands. The rake is very light with a flexible clog free design, perfect for gently scraping your lawns clean without ripping up the grass or raking away your garden mulch. Overall it's the best yard rake you're going to find. This is another innovative and quality product by Fiskar. The design of the rake also allows you to use it at more angles so you don't need to throw the rake ahead of you and pull it diagonally against the lawn like classic curved v-shaped rakes. I have found that the orange sleeve has tendency to slide up the handle, but it's too long to come completely off unless you are really determine to remove it. The user experience is analogous to a indoor broom rather than a big stiff leaf rake.
Sweeps up leaves like no other rake I've used before - though unfortunately you still have to bag the leaves :)
The screw holding the tines in place must have fallen out and into a bag of leaves. Sure, it is nice rake: light, aluminum etc. Save your money. Or worse who has time to follow up with Fiskars. Writing a review on Amazon, however, while calling Fiskars, doesn't take more than a few minutes. So here I am, middle of the afternoon, plenty of raking left to go and I am going to have to spend time going back to the store to get another rake OR worse, wait for Fiskars to get back to me and make good on their warranty.
Who has time to waste going back and forth to the store on a weekend or any day to buy a rake. When the first rake breaks pick up the second one and keep raking, and so on. Save your time. I bought this poduct at Lowe's. But after only 8 bags of leaves it fell apart. Just now, I left voicemail message for Fiskars Especially if you have a family.
Buy 3 less expensive rakes.
Bought mine at LOWES a couple of years ago to replace another plastic-tined rake which I had been very pleased with. COULD THIS BE THE BEST LEAF RAKE EVER. Disclaimer: Other than using their products I have absolutely no ties to Fiskars. TINES: are VERY sturdy and durable but you will need your garden rake to move big and/or damp piles of leaves. The egg-shaped cross section allows much weight reduction yet provides great strength and it provides a level of comfort and fatigue-resistance that has to be experienced to be believed. LESS WORK; MORE WEEKEND. Loaned it to a neighbor - a recent college grad from one of the area's big engineering schools - very shortly later he had his own Fiskars.
my old rake whose tines had been worn off. TECHNICAL HI-LITES. Living in a veritable Druid's grove of various Quercus species, some of them with thin LIVE OAK type leaves, I have found this rake to be capable of gathering most of those with one pass. 2. 1. Was astounded at the comfort and effectiveness of the Fiskars rake vs. [and thanks Fiskars engineers for a super product]. HANDLE: long enough for taller people but fine for shorter ones. Believe it.
