Kreg makes great products. Don't buy anything else. Tried it as soon as I got it and it works to perfection.
I haven't used this product yet, but it looks plenty sturdy to me. Appears well made For that reason, I suppose the price is worth it. I think the price is a bit high for what you get, but it is a specialty item to enable one to secure the work while drilling pocket holes.
I love using the kreg jig system, and just recently I found another use for this sturdy clamp. You guessed it: clamp up those 2x4's and shoot em' together tightly. When framing, installing backing for drywall can sometimes be hard to shoot together tight just by holding the pieces by hand.
It works, but Kreg could do better. "Made in China" strikes again. After purchasing, I have seen clamps identical to this for as little as $6 with equal or even better quality. This clamp is not up to Kreg tool quality.
