Kreg RAC Right Angle Clamp

WE NEED THE CORRECT IMAGE FOR THIS (THE RIGHT ANGLE CLAMP IS SHOWN, BUT IS ALREADY ON AMAZON). SEEMS LIKE 34445 MIGHT BE THE SAME CLAMP? AT LEAST THE IMAGE MIGHT BE USEABLE.

Large face clamp reaches up to 6" and ensures a perfectly flush joint every time! Large pad keeps clamp from marring wood. Perfect for flat stock such as face frames, mitered picture frames and other similar joints.

The Kreg Right Angle Clamp holds work pieces at a 90 degree angle. It has a steel dowel on one arm to fit into the pockethole and anchoring your work piece against the second work piece to be joined. An opposite arm has a 180 degree swiveling pad that automatically adjusts to the dimensions of the work piece while you finish the joint by driving a screw into the adjacent pocket hole. This clamp with a 4-1/2-inch reach and easy release handle is particularly useful for assembling box joints and joining a cabinet carcass to face frames.

Kreg RAC Right Angle Clamp Reviews

Use the clamps in one or more pocket holes while you drive the screws into the others. Conceptually, it's very simple. Try THAT with a corner clamp. The ply or particleboard sides and back of the cabinet are completely hidden for most cabinets and virtually always covered on end cabinets. As to the review that talks about blowing out the pocket hole, the only things that could possibly cause that are drilling too small a pocket (the clamps work perfectly with Kreg drills), clamping so tight as to crush the pocket, or clamping at an extreme angle (the clamp will work at a range of angles, not just 90 degrees). In any event, this is a highly unusual complaint, and I've yet to hear from anyone else with this problem. If you need 100% square accuracy, you can hold a square in place against the joint while you drive the screw.

To the reviewer that wondered about using pocket holes on the outside of items: In cabinet making, it's the INSIDE of the cabinet that's the concern. By the way, you can use these to clamp items that are not flush to one another, e.g., frame reveals, parts with differing thicknesses, and inset panels. This clamp works flawlessly every time. It replaces one of the flats on a normal Kreg clamp with a pin that fits in the pocket hole. Trust your own judgement, though, go to a demo at a woodworking show or store and try them. Or perhaps the owner has a defective clamp.

This is a great product but if you look around you can find this clamp cheaper.

It is amazing to me still how well they can hold at a right angle. I can drill a hole, clamp it then drill the other end and/or adjoining board, knowing the boards are going to be precisely in place when I put in the screws. The quality is good and will last a long time. I bought two of these clamps and glad I did. On occasion, I use to hold the wood in place on both ends or at a corner. I easily recommend these and they make the finishing touch just a little easier for me. It really works. Now its not moving.

Great clamp for Kreg's pocket screw holes. Good buy I order the extra clamp to go with the kit I purchased earlier.

The RAC makes a creating a tight flush joint a snap. I was frustrated as the spring fell off a few times at first but I took care of it and it works fine now. A second clamp would be a good idea on larger projects. It actually is better then a second set of hands unless those hands can press 350lbs.
