It works great under ideal conditions. The higher models give a level bubble on the side which would have been very useful. Bought this a couple months ago to help with simple site plans and structure locations. Clayton Surveyor & Engineer Indoors-absolutely perfect, outdoors-pick spots that are shadded to measure to. The laser is very difficult if impossible to see when shinning on a wall or fence in the sun.
