This is a nice item and the metal base is heavy enough to keep it securely in-place. not on sale. I picked it up for 1/2 the price at a local hardware store. But the price Amazon is charging is outrageous.

I bought this because I ran over my last one, which was plastic. I highly recommend, in fact I'm back to buy more. It's metal and rubber, and it works great. This new one is great.
