if you are looking for a light that can be kept in the truck or by the back door, this is a great choice. this makita lithium-ion rechargeable flashlight is an incredibly functional, stout and portable light.
For those who complained about the strapdon't attach it. Too soon to need bulbs, but good idea to be prepared. For $18.25 what a good value. It produces an amazing amount of light. My compact 18V 1.5 Ah Li-ion battery fit perfectly with no need to punch out an insert.
Battery compatibility was not a problem either. Fits great in the hand and surprisingly lightweight, well balanced. I do like the included strap for hands free operation; with the swivel head you can point it where you need it while it is slung over your shoulder. They will probably break if the flashlight is jarred or dropped during use. Replacement bulbs are reasonable, $4.79 with free shipping from Northern Tool.
It uses the A-90261 bulb, which is described as a Xenon bulb on Makita's web site.
Be prepared to "light up your life". Need a light - highly recommend this one Having to purchase the additional charger and batteries was a tad expensive ( did not have any other 18 volt tools, only older) but now I can add the other newer 18 volt tools. Great product.

I found the flashlight very useful. Very bright and with the lithium 18 volt battery it last for hours. It is well balanced so it will stand on its on. You are able to put it in different postions and angles.
