Makita BMR100W 18-Volt FM/AM Job Site Radio Reviews

For the price and the sound perfect job or shop radio or even just at home now mp3 compatible Makita Rocks. If you own any makita tools or if not this radio rocks.

Sounds great, but not load enough for some head banger types. The external power transformer is a pain at times ,it tends to fall out of cords or plugs. Nice, solid, and compact, well thought out. Mike from Wi. It makes a more compact unit, thats more important to me.I'm very pleased over all. Batteries are pricey but most are.

This radio severly distorts the music if the volumn is higher than 6 on on the volume. I am considering sending it back to the Corporate Offices but I do not belive that they would care about the lack of quality in their products as they are making these in China now.Apparently brand loyalty no longer is a concern to the powers that run Makita. This is the worst Makita product that I have owned.I have been using Makita tools for about 20 years and am still using my first cordless drill. I have a 20 year old York boom box that cost less than $60 that still has better sound.

My partner spent the money for this *radio* I might give it a thought if it can charge my batteries other wise I'll stick to playing music from my truck.

That power is supplied by two AA batteries that came with my radio. it's loud and the speakers mounted on the side spread the sound everywhere instead of just forward. i love this radio. not that i'm saying this radio was built to be thrown off of 30 ft buildings but you get the point. Then it accidentally fell off of a roof not once but twice. i bought one of these radios specifically because it could run off of my lithium ion makita batteries.

once i plugged my mp3 player into it, i was convinced. Well worth every cent. The clock is very handy because it always displays the time even when you don't have a battery in. The sound is better than my own car stereo.
