As a cabinetmaker, I'm handling these drivers all day long, so the lightness really pays off. I use the impact driver for the large Conformat screws, which drives faster than the pnumatic it replaced. These drivers are so great, this is the second pair I've purchased from Amazon in the past 6 months. Everyone who's used them, loves 'em. Plus, no air hose. They charge fast and the light on the front is a life saver when you're head is in a cabinet and you're positioning those screws.
I have used the Dewalt 14v and 18v but a friend said I should try the Makita and I'm glad I did. I could not believe the power I got from the smaller Lithium battery. I recently bought this little combo kit to assist me with my new deck building. The impact driver is super light and small enough for the really tight spaces but lacks nothing for power right up to the very last drive on the battery. I have owned Makita 9.6v drill driver for 20 plus years. The Drill driver is the same.Makita has always been my first choice for quality and price and they haven't let me down with this product. What have I been missing all these years.
